Fire Detection and Fire Alarm System (FDAS)
The very emergence of fire is accompanied with three main elements: smoke, heat and light. The correct detection of these signs can provide early detection of the source of the suspected fire and the implementation of the necessary countermeasures. The fire alarm and detection system is a group of components, including a control and indicating equipment, which, when arranged in a specified configuration or configurations, is capable of detecting and reporting a fire and providing signals to initiate appropriate actions.
The choice of automatic fire detectors must be made in accordance with the probability of a fire developing based on its production phase, the height of the room, the atmospheric conditions and the possible sources of interference in the area to be monitored. The detectors must be selected in such a way that fires are reliably detected as they begin, and deceptive alarms are avoided.
